Cirque de Spook-ay After having been forced back into the Ghost Realm by Danny and Scratch, Ember was now brought before the Council to account for her failure, and for the Chairman to exact appropriate punishment. Even though Ember was a ghost, she was the one now feeling overwhelming fear and dread. The Council had granted her some mercy by allowing her to explain herself. “You had one simple job; take out Molly McGee, a small, defenceless teenage girl, and you couldn’t even do that!” Lucretia scolded. “Honestly, with your performance, we would’ve been better off sending the Box Ghost!” Grimbella added. “Anything to say before your banishment to the Flow?” Bartholomew asked. “It’s not my fault, really!” Ember pleaded. “Of course it isn’t. Off with you, then,” Sir Alister rebuffed. The Chairman then lifted his bony hand, pointed his finger behind Ember, and a portal to the Flow started sucking her in. “She was too well-defended. There was this ghost with her, some nobody

Concert-astrophe Monday morning in Brighton started out as all mornings did, with the sun rising, the birds singing, and the low-hanging specter of realisation that the weekend was over, and it was time to get back to school or work. For most, this would be the worst part of the week. Not so much for one resident of Brighton, namely, one Molly McGee, who was already up and dressed by 7:00am. She was eating breakfast at a pace that only track runners could keep up with. “Someone’s eager,” Sharon, Molly’s mother, commented. “I haven’t seen you this excited since we moved in,” Pete, Molly’s father, added. “Yeah, can you please keep a lid on it? Some of us are trying to catch our morning snoozes,” Scratch, Molly’s ghost bestie, bemoaned. “I can’t help it. Today’s the first day of Brighton Middle School’s Spirit Week,” Molly replied. This made Scratch rise up to attention. “Spirit Week? Oh boy, is the Council going to be there? I’m not ready! I’m not ready!” Scratch

Scum and villainy Zack didn’t know what to think. Milo had just accepted Sarna’s invitation to a party at their apartment, despite the fact that she was a Sith officer. All sorts of questions were buzzing through his mind. Was Milo knocked around the head during his death duel with Bendak? Was Milo secretly a Sith operative? As the old saying goes, you can only find answers with questions, so Zack took the initiative. “What’s your angle here, Milo?” Zack queried. “I’m thinking maybe they’ll let something slip and we can get answers on where to find Amanda. If they do know, we’ll have somewhere conclusively to start looking, and if they don’t, that means the Sith haven’t found her yet. Either way, it’s a win for us,” Milo justified. “Fair points, but you’re playing with fire. If this leads to anything significant, I won’t tell the superiors if you won’t,” Zack bargained. “Now, can I ask you something?” Milo asked. “You continuing the personal quest line? Is this really
Do say gay It was Halloween night, and five-year-old Lincoln Loud was trying to keep up with his older sister Lynn Jr., who had been tasked with keeping an eye on him while the parents were busy with Lucy and the newborn twins. Unfortunately for Lincoln, Lynn went speeding off down the streets, despite her given task. “Lynn, wait up! Mum said you have to stay with me,” Lincoln protested, but to no avail. Lynn Jr. was not listening as she continued her sprint. She leapt over a boy in a One-Eyed Jack costume. Lincoln, still trying to keep pace, could not avoid colliding into the boy. The two were knocked to the ground, and whilst the other boy was able to get up, he was bleeding from one nostril. “Oh geez, I’m sorry. Here, take my cape. Ace Savvy is always ready to lend a hand,” Lincoln offered. The other boy accepted, using the cape to plug his bleeding nostril, and extended his free hand. “Thanks. I’m Clyde, what’s your name?” Clyde introduced. Lincoln then shook the other
Clincoln McLoud Lincoln came into school with a sullen and depressed look about him. He found himself staring at the floor as he walked to the Action News Team room to start their usual morning show. On the way, however, he saw Clyde and his girlfriend Chloe by the lockers, and from the sounds of it, the two were having a quarrel. “You haven’t taken me anywhere in a month! What is going on, Clyde? What are you so ‘busy’ with?!” Chloe demanded. “I can’t say, sweetcakes. I’m sworn to secrecy,” Clyde answered desperately. Chloe’s mind started racing. What secret was Clyde keeping. Then, an idea dawned on her. “Who is she, Clyde? I bet it’s Girl Jordan, or maybe even Stella. Is that who you’re seeing behind my back?!” Chloe accused. “I’m not seeing anyone else, Chloe, honest,” Clyde defended. “Again with the evasiveness. I don’t need a guy who keeps secrets from his girlfriend. Enjoy your side piece, Clyde, we’re through,” Chloe declared and stormed off, leaving Clyde a
Class president The day started out like any other at Jefferson County Middle School. After the usual string of disasters that befell Milo, Zack, Melissa, and company on their way to school (this time it was two burst fire hydrants, a runaway spare tyre and an overturned fish truck that was leaking) they made it in on time. However, when they got into homeroom, they discovered that Principal Milder was at the front, along with a hat. “Class, I have an announcement to make. Your class president will be leaving us to move with his family to Maine to head up a new lobster farm,” Principal Milder declared. Chad then put his hand up. “Will he send free samples?” Chad wondered. Principal Milder chuckled slightly. “Sadly, no. Anyway, with the class president spot now open, we will now commence with the Jefferson County Middle School tradition of selecting his replacement, by picking a random name out of this hat,” Milder clarified. “Wait, you choose your class president by random

Resolutions It had been fairly quiet at Royal Woods General Hospital. Or at least, quieter than normal. It was hard to imagine that this time last year, the hospital was bursting at the seams with patients of the Michigan Flu. Dr. Turner remembers that incident very vividly in his mind. He remembers patients with bloodied mouths from where they had been coughing up so much blood, how he saw his fellow Royal Woods residents on their deathbeds, and he was thankful a cure had been found and administered. To see sickness on such a scale was unfathomable. He had to give Lisa Loud credit, despite her young age, he saw a bit of himself in her. It almost made him regret how they parted ways. He always did like her curiosity and intellect. Still, he had to separate himself from her, after their last meeting. He put that unfortunate incident out of his mind, as there was another child who needed his attention. Little Billy had been brought in by his mother for his routine

The flames of healing No-one in the Loud House knew what to think at this point in time. Not only had Lincoln been spirited away while he was in his sickbed from right under their noses, but it was also revealed that he and Lynn Jr. had been keeping some sort of secret from the rest of the family. Suffice to say, everyone had questions. Deductive reasoning suggested that the other Order member had a key on them which allowed them access, but why take Lincoln to an old storage facility? What was there? This, the family thought, had something to do with Lincoln and Lynn Jr.s secret, and before any rescue attempt was to be made, the Louds had to know what they were dealing with. “So tell us, Lynn, what is this ‘secret’ that the Order is referring to?” Lori asked sternly. “Yes, I’d like to know, too. What is it you and Lincoln have been keeping from us?” Rita added. Lynn Jr. sighed heavily and checked under Lincoln’s bed, only to find his football had been taken as well. “I

Darkness and light Harriet was taken aback by the sudden arrival of this unexpected visitor. At any other time, she would be welcoming of such a person, especially if they intended to browse her inventory. But since she was on the cusp of doing battle with a group of dark magic users alongside someone she only briefly met yesterday, she could not indulge this individual at this time. “I’m sorry, this is not a good time. Please come back later,” Harriet dismissed. She made to close the door, but before it was halfway shut, Annie spoke again. “I need your help to stop the Malefic Order,” Annie clarified. This piqued Harriet’s attention. Aside from Lupe, who was still on her way, no-one else Harriet spoke to mentioned the Order. If this girl, who seemed to come from nowhere, knew enough to mention them by name, in Harriet’s mind, she was worth hearing out. She opened the door again. “Were you followed?” Harriet inquired. Annie then looked back and forth around her several
